Just posted a few photographs of a new play at the Festival Theater in St. Croix Falls WI. "Fully Committed" is the first production the theater company has had in a new temporary space while its home stage is being refurbished along with a new wing being added to the building they use. The play is small but the talent is huge. It's a one woman comedy wherein the actress, Chloe Amao, portrays an incredibly nimble receptionist in a posh New York City restaurant. She literally becomes the dozens of characters whom she manages on the reservation line for the restaurant and cools the jets of the flamboyant chef d'maison on the house phone. Lots of fun all around.
The photographs are good but the challenge is high. The new space is "intimate" as they say in theater jargon...very small with a flat stage and little room for even the most sparse set. But I could get real close to the scenes throughout and the tight shots show off this actor very well.
